Bands
Pat Roberts and the Heymakers are the traditional, roots, and rockabilly veterans from Phoenix, Arizona. Featured: Pat Roberts on guitar and vocals, Doc Screamer on upright bass, and Jimmy Pines on drums.
"Take equal parts rockabilly, classic country, honky tonk, and Bakersfield, mix them all together, and toss in a great guitar player, a rock-solid rhythm section, and some tasty guest appearances on keyboards and pedal steel. Then, channel the ghost of Roy Orbison and the spirit of (the still-living and still-great) Sleepy LaBeef into the vocals and what do you get? Lonesome and Blue, the band’s first release, serves as a modern tribute to classic country and rockabilly and is a thoroughly enjoyable record for anyone who loves these genres."
-Buster Fayte, Rockabilly Romp
Trevor and the Swingin’ Johnsons are Las Vegas’s newest tribute to the soulful sounds of the past. With an emphasis on Jump Blues, TSJ harkens back to the risqué rhythms of the 1940’s, 50’s, and 60’s, while paying homage to the greatest musical minds of their day. The lineup of musicians and contemporary expression breathes new life into the Swing/Jazz standards. The band not only maintains an authentic retro sound, but a retro aesthetic as well.
